About MIDICraft Music and Freelance Compositions and Arrangements
MIDICraft is run by two Amiga musicians, lyricists and composers, who
also happen to be brothers, Kevan R.Craft and Gareth R.Craft. As
brothers, we have been producing music on the Amiga computer platform
since 1992, although we have both been in various gigging and recording
bands both at college and on the semi-professional scene. (Gareth has
been in a full 9 piece Jazz band, arranged brass sections and has done
session work for some recording artists. My early efforts have been in
film and television studying to be a director and I have made about 10
projects as writer/director and have edited some unbroadcasted T.V
programmes.) Initially, the Music-X V1.1 seqencing program was employed
to compose music utilising the Amiga, MIDI and sythesizers. We then
began to contribute to the Norwegian based music disk magazine
called 'AM/FM - Amiga Musicians Freeware Magazine', edited and
published by Bj
rn A.Lynne. We contributed a considerable amount of
written articles on most things concerning MIDI, reviewed other Amiga
musicians recording projects and produced a recent glowing review of
rn A.Lynne's 'Montage' CD. We have also reviewed Amiga software
direct from the publisher, OctaMED and the AMFC music convertor from
RBF Software and the Music-X 2.0 and Notator-X from Software Business,
here in the U.K.
Moreover, as musicians and writers employing the Amiga computer, we
offered help and assistance to the editorial team of the disk magazine
called 'Total Irrelevance' produced by the Official MED Users Group and
offered our services with writing articles and providing help with
Teijo Kinunnen's OctaMED Professional and MIDI to readers of the
magazine.
We have also offered assistance as
eta testers for OctaMED Professional
V5.0 hopefully offering Teijo and Ray with some positive ideas
concerning the future development of Teijo's amazing music program..
MIDICraft music emerged after both Gareth and I realised that we
had amassed quite a lot of Music-X cover scores during our 4 years
with using Music-X and rather than sell these at extortionate prices we
decided to allow other users access to this music as volume sets for an
inexpensive fee as a small payment for our efforts in producing the
Music-X and MIDI scores contained within the growing MIDICraft Volume
series.
As musicians, composers and lyricists, we have over the years,
compiled a catalogue of original music and songs which we decided to record
together using the Amiga and the new Music-X V2.0 MIDI Sequencer. The
result is our own penned and produced CD Album entitled 'A Drop in
the Ocean' containing 12 tracks, 10 songs and 2 instrumentals.
As freelance musicians and composers, both Gareth and myself are
available to write and record and master on digital media (DAT), here
in our recording studio either instrumental or lyric based songs for
either Film, T.V, Radio, The Theatre, Games and CD ROM developers on
any platform. We are capable of utilising vocals, Electric Guitar,
Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar besides the usual Synthesized sounds of
drums, strings, brass and synths etc via MIDI sequencing. The complete
work can be provided on DAT tape, ready and shipped to the prospective
client.. If you require a composition fully scored and LASER printed
as a hardcopy for publishing purposes then with Notator-X this can also
be arranged. We are also able to produce, as part of a package, full
design and print ready-artwork (positive film) for Cassette/CD
label, Booklets and inlay cards for mass productions purposes..
